Piaget was founded in 1874. It began with a workshop in a small village in the Jura Mountains, the sacred land of Swiss watchmaking. In 1957, Piaget succeeded in developing the cal. 9P, a thin movement that has become synonymous with the brand. With a thickness of only 2 mm, this thin movement shocked many watchmakers. The Piaget Polo, a success, was born from the Polo competition, and Piaget expanded its lineup by entering the high jewelry field. 1988 saw the company join the Richemont Group, where it continued to develop collections such as the Altiplano and Possession, which are steeped in the Piaget philosophy.
